Heater O-rings in the P38A

I'm told the transfer lever bush is an exciting job. I dont actually know, but I -heard- the swearing from inside.
And I know that my g-box breather was a fun one...damned leaking banjo fitting. I pulled the floor out, for one bolt!
For me without a doubt it HAS to be the 4 bolts you need to remove a strommie carb from the manifold.
MASSIVE pain in the A$$ when putting the carbs back on when the manifold is still on the block
When I think about it I can feel the frustration !
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH
I managed it with, (I think it was) a 1/2" spanner heated and bent 90 degrees and a mirror.
Getting the upper balljoint out of a batmobile, without a puller and not wanting to ruin the rubber boot with a twine tool, because the ball joint was new,
to replace the upper control arm bushes.
then how to get the control arm bushes out
big internet search, hit the side of the arm with a big hammer while holding another hammer on the other side, whilst holding a lever on the control arm and the thing just pops out. ###### 3 days of cursing for something simple.
then an air chisel for the old bushs easy.
or anything to do with underbonnet work on a 300tdi disco.
now to do the other side.

Some people seem to get flustered over the easiest of jobs:angel:
