Doing the same trip to work everyday has it's quirks. Used to always pass a new-ish Fender on my way home from work all the time...admiring of course. Eventually got my County and waved. They waved back...now they even wave when I'm in one of my other non-LR cars...should I be disturbed?!

I wave to anything from Solihull, it gets the locals around here confused. I was up on Mt Baw Baw and I came across a Defender with its bonnet up, so I pulled over to see if they needed help. Turns out they had done an alternator belt on their 200Tdi. Muggins here happened to have a spare so I gave it to them. Turns out they were Zimbabwe and had brought the Defender over with them on a trip around Oz. Ended up swapping details with them and we still correspond. You meet the nicest people in the Landrover brotherhood was their parting comment.

I wave at other Rangies and if I am on the ball other land rovers usually only if they look like they are eccentic owners with cars with snorkels and racks and lights etc.. - most just look at me like i'm stoopid - guess most P38 rangie drivers don't wave - probably about 1 in 15 classic rangies wave back, and in all my time I only ever remember 2 P38's waving back

Only ever seems to be the dented, raised, fat tire, spotties all over them type rangies which wave back too. why are people so unkind!

Not sure I would want to drive around at Cooma then...so much waving going on, not enough concentration on the road ahead.
