I'll second that!
Just wondering why so many members do not have a location in their info. Gives a bit of perspective to some posts and location of vehicles being discussed etc.
I'll second that!
I often wonder as well.
Profiles are another issue with me. It seems like members either don't know about profile info or don't want others to know about themselves.
I know about the privacy issues but it helps to know a little about each other.
Let's get opinions on this.
I can feel another poll somewhere.
****es me off no end, especially in the markets section. Looking at various bits and pieces for sale and there in no god damn location listed for the parts or the user. Ausrotary has a template that must be used otherwise the thread is locked or deleted. This is only in the for sale section.
In the normal sections it doesn't worry me quite so much but it is interesting to see where people are located.
I agree, its annoying.
I got nuthing to hide, so here I am !
It's worth populating it so others know where you are. Very hand if you are offering help as you know if it's close enough to pop over and help.
I think the BBS software has the option to make entering this mandatory on registration....so if the mods agree, and I'm right, it could be an easy fix.![]()

This might be an option but I would hesitate to make it mandatory. People still need to have a choice.
I for one do not register on sites immediately unless I can see benefit for all concerned, including number 1.
Maybe a trial time limit could be an option but again I hesitate.
I would rather members decide if it is in their best interests to complete their profile.
I'm a secret service agent, so I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.:-)
