Depends on what end of the red book value they are looking at, but they should at least insure it for red book even though red book is the biggest croc on the planet.

With my Discovery A.A.M.I. gave me an agreed value of approx $3,000 more than what I paid for it!

Give them a call (BTW - this is in South Australia)

AAMI have insured my 300Tdi Disco for a lot more than I paid for it even though I told them the purchase price.

Same here - AAMI would only insure my car for the lowest price in the red book - about $3K more than I paid for it.
