The Defender has gone. Now time for a new project.

My defender was picked up today

It has gone to a new loving home, but this gives e time and spave for my next project.

An ex mil series 3 gs.

The question i have is how hard it is to fit a winch to these vehicles?

I want to keep it as orginal as i can though i would love to fit a low or high mount( i know where one is cheap).

Would i have to put a later model bar on it?

    Cheers

Hey Wazza, you'll have to change your signature now

I've seen winches on these vehicles before, I think you can fit a mounting bracket because the grill is set back so it gives you plenty of room...

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will post shortly

When i go and collect it tomorrow,(stored at a friends place) ill get all the numbers etc but i think it is already registered etc.

A pto would be nice but i like the ease of use of an electric.

    Cheers

Don't mean to be a bit of a 'late mail' specialist but this was on Ebay a while back - it's what you're after and fits nicely between the chassis rails. There might be photo about of one fitted.

Anyway, good luck with your new beast
