I was waiting for the drivers side ramp to collapse and if it did his arm would have been crushed and probably his head as well, let alone the rear passenger.

The idea is to achieve perfect balance.

You could achieve control test 2 or 3 feet above ground, not that high surely. I wouldnt temp that height, and especially with passengers in the vehicle.

Definitely not a "real world" needed skill in my view of life.

Haven't you seen the ramps they use at some car dealers, similar to that, drive up them and they drop down level.
There's your real world situation
