Typical weekend in Yorkshire.
Laning in the Disco
A hopeful bird
Salmon were running but was not successful in catching it on camera. This bridge was just upstream of the salmon jumps

Looks like a nice trip and it would be good to see some water on my trips!
Hey oop lad, that looks reet nice, nowhere near Bratford was it![]()
Nay lad, nowhere near Bratfordwas about 40-50 miles north of BRADFORD though
The lane cuts across from Silverdale to Ribblesdale.
The heron was at the bottom of the weir on the Ribble just outside Settle
The bridge is packhorse bridge built by Samuel Webster in 1672 across the Ribble by Knights Stainfort
The deer was spotted just to the west of the Helwith Bridge Inn

Lovely looking country side there Brendan. Water is something that is in short supply in most places out here these days.
As both our families roots are in the Old Dart, we hope to make it over there in the not too distant future.
Keep up the laneing and post as many photos as you like.

Whilst I am a 'namby pamby bloody sotherner' (Surrey) I did go to Leeds University for a while and lived at Rawdon - but spent quite a bit of time at a mates place in Idle.
Sometimes I miss it - then I remember the bloody weather
Mind you the main thing I do miss from that neck of the woods - is a decent curry - there was one in Idle called the 'Passage to India' - locally known as The Back Passage to India
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
