I'm much better since I stopped worrying about stuff, gave up a zillion buck career and decided to dedicate my life to looking after my wife and kids...

    we have fun...

    Typical senior soldier stuff
Mildly overwight 15 or so kg, drink a tad too much, stuffed ankles and knees (all the pack dragging and jumping up and down), deaf-ish in my 'rifle' ear and generally cantankerous
    Just turned 40

An appropriate thread to end my night as I am not feeling real sharp, had chest pains all day and a head ache, after my last attack I tend to know what to keep and eye out for and tonite I am worried abit as the pains are right in the heart, last couple days been abit stressfull and I dont handle it like I used to, one thing in defence of smoking was the calming effect, I am over smoking so no good here, so drop a valium and relax in a bombed out haze, should learn to meditate maybe!

    Mrs Numpty,
The Scaleys are beautiful birds as are all Lorikeets.
Mine will be sixteen years old in December. I got her
    before she even had feathers.
We communicate 24 hours a day and she wants to be with me all the time, I cant go anywhere without her.
You'll probably meet her somewhere down the track ?
She also loves Betty ( my wife ) and our dog.
She bosses me around something dreadfull. I always come off second best
I believe that having a bird for a Mate helps to keep you healthy ? You worry less about insignificant stuff
and become more patient and tolerant toward others.
I find that some things dont matter a great deal and I dont have to be in a rush, I have time to look around
and smell the roses, so to speak.
Mine has laid more than 125 eggs over the years. She
has toys like coloured milk bottle caps and stuff. When
its time to grow an egg she tries to have it off with the
favourite of the day, the hussy.
If you are in poor health, get a parrot type of bird,
honest, but be warned they will take over your life.

Ron, She is a cute looking bird.
    Cheers.

I'm a bit of a bird fan. Always have been. Birds seem to like me too...
Lorikeets generally live for 25 years.
However a "pampered one" may live longer

My Aunt had a cockatoo that she inherited and it dies around 90 years old. At lot of cockatoos live longer than humans.

    Cheers,
    Ron
