    Animated Avatars must go

Every now and then when reading posts I come across persons with animated avatars. I don't know what others think, but they drive me crazy.

Avatars help people to understand what context you are using when you say something such as the big smile say you are amused or are making a joke

i personally prefer your location to be listed and your first name in the signature block

    That's a smiley.
An avatar is a pic near your name... such as a LR frolicking in a puddle.

The main one that get's my goat is the lazy and the illiterate, who cannot be bothered to spell correctly. I can live with one or two errors, but to read through a whole response littered with spelling and grammatical errors, well it has me gnashing my teeth by the end.

    Regards

So true. The other thing which gets in my craw is the letter with no capitalisation in the correct spots nor punctuation.

Back to task - when reading a letter with this little creature slapping away on the top left corner of my vision drives me crazy.

By the way - I've removed my avatar until I get my landie back together. If it can't be put back together at a reasonable cost and if I don't buy a S2 disco then it's back to being a contented subaru only driver, and leave the 'real men' FWDing to those with more money than sense.
