Just went on a mid week run to the Border Track via Wyperfeld, Big Desert and then out via Little Desert. Unfortunately for the 2nd time I have missed the one way section due to it being closed. The 1st time our fault, didn't realize it closed on November 1st for normal fire season and we rocked up on the November 4th in 2005.
This time they have closed it early due to an early start to fire season. The rest of the Ngarkat and Scorpion Springs parks are open though, so you can detour around via Centre Track.
Oh well may be one day I'll get there.
