    Great set of pics

I'm afraid there are some positives, and some negatives IMHO. Nothing there that makes me feel a desperate need to trade up.

on first Eyeball from those pics, speaking as a mechanic that engine bay scares me a little Im going to have to develop a whole new level of the land rover part tetris installation game.

what the hell happened to the hand brake? looks like it fell down a bit.

cant wait to get up close and personal with one to pic it to pieces... But I can see again the engineers put comfort ahead of practicality... The AC compressor is up high where its total lack of high current electrical componentry is nice and safe whereas the alternator is down in the guts where any crud and corruption can make a mess of it.

but then they did the same thing on the TD5... but at least they kept the compressor below the rocker cover height.

At last some reasonable pictures of what its like! Well done.

    Few negatives though:
That exposed ECU against the firewall is a real issue. I'd expect the unit to be sealed but it looks like the plugs are just into the side where moisture and dust can attack their seals.
Don't like that hand brake drum though I suppose it really depends on how far back on the ramp over area it now sits.

    Also a question:
Where's the air intake/filter is the intake still on the driver's side mid way between door and wheel where the vent is and is the filter now a plastic box up front?

Would have thought short of mounting it to the turbo it is probably one of the hottest spots you could mount the ECU too

Those "DIY" threaded holes are there to mount the rear seats...

Good point. It would be impossible to shield as I doubt there'd be any airflow to cool that part of the engine bay.

So that means they are designed to support a reasonable weight? Could be interesting to see how people use these.
