LR developed a prototype of the new LR2 with one of these engines however the inner valves of the front tyres could not adequately handle the additional weight of the 6-cylinder plant.

Quite a bit bigger than a Bushmaster - try getting that down any bush track or city alley!

But I am not too certain it is a truck:-

" A large, powerful motor vehicle for transporting goods etc."

While it is certainly large, and presumably powerful, its primary purpose would seem to be as a military combat vehicle, not for transport, and hence the word "truck" is not appropriate.

(one of my dislikes is the use of Americanisms in this country - OK for the Yanks to use them)

Well, they would have a hell of a problem with a real truck engine. That C7 Cat is a small light-weight engine as truck power plants go. Only 7.2 litres and 645lbs weight.

    Isn't that 1425 lb (647 kg)?
    Indeed the lightest Cat engine.
    My tongue-in-cheek comment still stands.
