The worm needs a very big fish to eat it and who ever thought of it. In a debate of this importance I dont need game show theatrics to make up my mind for me.

I am a big boy now and can make up my own mind, something Howard agrees with (or the other way around) as he stipulated that it should not be there; Rather trusting the Australian public watching to make up their own mind.

I think it belittles the whole political process by dragging it down to a mindless game show level. Channel Nine should hang it's head in shame

That the Govt. could dictate to the media not to use the worm is of far more concern then the worm itself.

The feed to Channel 9 was cut they then used the ABC feed and this was cut too. Finally using the SKYNEWS feed. They were prepared, and long live free speech.
Personally I coudn't give two shi$s about the bloody worm.

I doubt that, they were just reacting to a cranky old lying hasbeen. Did he say which of his promises this time were "Core" or "Noncore"?

That is only valid if the "worm" is an accurate reflection of the entire community and not just a vocal minority and even then its debatable.
If not what is worse Govt censorship or media manipulation.

    Hey Phil,
Or worse could be media manipulation by Government? Like the 1 million dollars a day spent on rubbish we've been bombarded with for the last six months or so? Is that what you mean by media manipulation?

FYI: From what I know of this process, there are just 65 people in a room; each person has a type of potentiometer or 'dial', to adjust their + or - reaction...

65 people is a ridiculously small and inaccurate sample, whether the '65' are biased or otherwise....

I dropped in and out of this broadcast, but from what I saw, the prime minister seemed rather annoyed...

he's no doubt worried, but I have a rather odd funny feeling he just me go around for one more 'season'....

the ruddites have to pull out their own rabbits...

Matt & Dave ABC 891 (South Aussies will know) were saying that in the last 3 debates even though the PM was judged the worst debater he still went on to win the election.

Seems it matter buggerall. Same as Polls it seems.
