    Smile Damn Maccas jingle!!!!

    Is anyone getting the you know whats over that damn bacon ad from Maccas? Its driving me insane I pegged a thong at my television tonite, must send them a rocket email tomorrow.

    Our seven month old is addicted to the jingle already, and bounces around in time to the music, yelling something unintelligible whenever it's on the box......they certainly know the best way to market their products!...has anyone tried whatever they are advertising?....

    I believe the Maccas BLT is fairly ordinary like most of these plastic food, cant tell me these ads arent targetting children expressly

    A couple of creatives in an ad agency, on about $200k a year...or more...

    I'd say that jingle was conceived after a very long Friday arvo lunch, about 11 pm

    Never heard the ad, but I watch almost no commercial TV, and very little TV for that matter.

    But you might be interested to look at an article in the October Scientific American. In this article (p25) it refers to an article in a Pediatric journal where preschool children were asked to test the taste of identical food items in plain or McDonalds bags. 54% preferred carrot from the McDonalds bag compared to 23% from the plain bag, for fries that looked like McDonalds, the figures were 77% and 13% (the missing percentages couldn't tell the difference).
