    I agree.
I seem to remember last election a dual carriage way highway up the east coast being promised. I'd like to see that.

Every govt for the last 15 years, state and federal, has promised to fix the Pacific Highway, so that should tell you something about whether promises are kept.
I'm finding it hard to get motivated enough to vote for anyone.

Why bother. The Pacific is a tourist highway with lots of little towns and lots of twisty bits. The New England Highway is a better faster trip for commerce and those who want to make a mile without being held up by terrorists pulling caravans with underpowered sedans, and by geriatrics in motor homes. Pull the speed limit on the Pacific back to 80, which is what the terrorists want to drive at, and lift the New England to 140. Bar vans and Winnebagos from the New England and everyone will be happy and the nation will not be billions out of pocket.

Nah, banning them doesn't look nice.

You just rip up the road to Parliament House, and replace it with a tricky 4wd track, and a sign "Standard vehicles only".

Same effect, but looks much nicer!

    Gents,
I have a grin so wide it hurts
I have just (deliberately) sold an investment property.

IF Krudd wins AND is able to keep interest rates at present lows or better, I will re-invest in better property as well as humbly admit they can keep rates low.

IF Krudd wins and, as history suggests, rates rise substantially, I will still be able to pick up a better property investment but it will be a reposession and maybe I'll get it even cheaper. In this scenario, I will probably be able to purchase a second hand D2 from the same repo chaps.

IF JHo is returned , I will reinvest in property, but it will be less better than the other scenarios, but either way, thanks to JHo, I will have maxxed my investment.

Sound selfish, not at all, property is my super.

Other spin offs I will realise on Mon 26 Nov in the event of a Krudd win:
Some of our folk will be progressively laid off, (already planned to accomodate higher salaries and less departmental budget) so more chance for me to get that covetted window cubicle.

My local hospital waiting list will be halved and trains will run on time due to infrastructure improvements.

Some of our staff on the Defence equiv of AWA will likely be quite sick of me reminding them to take advantage of 'opt out' clauses in their agreement so they can take advantage of new, lower rate collective agreements. Not so much a spin off but it will be fun....

Ok, Ok, maybe the trains and hospitals won't be fixed straight away, but hey, I can dream can't I?

    Ralph
