They got elected on a platform of keeping them honest and No GST and then there was Democrat, oops I mean Independant Meg Lees ...

How could anyone vote for the Democrats ever again!!!!

I don't think they will exist much past this election, a very great shame for what was a great moderator in Aussie politics.

Johhny Rotten (sex pistols) had the right idea on a radio interview i heard with him (he's actually quite a clever bloke!)

he reckons that every member of parliment (was talking about uk) should be individually voted for and put into power by the people. This was THEY and only THEY become accountable for their work. No political parties then just individuals that need to do a good job otherwise they dont get to stay in....

in the UK its the only job that you can do without a relavent qualification... eg education minister with barely an education and no kids, environment minister that has no qualifications in environmental issues.

it would be like me being an engineer and suddenly demanding to be a doctor...

just my 2 cents..... i just hope that íf labour do end up getting in it doesnt go the same way as the UK... they screwed that country good and hard...

i know where my vote (if i had one) lies.....

    Thanks

    Steve

But like all other polls they don't ask the real people.
AULRO is full of conservatives from affluent up bringings.
    Define a "real person".

BTW I am a conservative but far from an affluent upbringing. I think the old idea of Labor being the working man's party is long out of date, but after the 1996 gun buyback I swore I'd never vote Liberal again.

    Hi there Jeff

I hear where your comming from regarding the Gun issue - its not the gun that kills it the idiot behind the trigger.

I dont want to make this political - but all our questions will be soon answered - election day.......

But I hope your wrong - I work in the Mining Industry and we worked on AWA's for many years and Labor & Unions etc scare me and the Mining Industry.

Well all the best to both sides - and I assure you there will be a winner........
