This poll would make the lib/nat coalition happy!
The only poll that is in their favour...
Someone send it to the Howard camp, I'm sure the PM and his senior crew will make a mention of it on the telly.
The AULRO poll could become far more famous than any of the so called 'official' polls.
I cant vote for Howard or Rudd, so I'll vote for a local member...
haven't seen one that overly enthuses me yet

This forum is composed of people falling into one or more of the following categories:
1) People able to afford a new/newish car - i.e. people doing financially fairly well.
2) People who drive their cars to recreational activities off-road: things like fishing and shooting as well as 4wd-ing.
3) People who own a computer.
4) Immigrants from the UK - predominantly business migrants.
5) People classed by newspapers as "Rednecks"
And many other people of course
I think as a group we could have been expected to favour the coalition. Seeing it neck-and-neck suggests either - Johnny should pack his bags OR we're a broader group than we realised.

We've been doing some research here re 'the vote'.
The seat of page is pretty safe national party, if 5% is safe...
...of 400 (random) people asked we're showing (approx) 40% coalition; 40% labor; 20% other, big green vote here...
some of the poll operators (neilsen, newspoll etc) reckon 30+ seats to go to labor (coalition is gone if the swing is more than 16 seats)...
others call it at about 25 seats...
24 november will be an interesting saturday night...

Well all things come to an end, good & bad.
I can only say I have been delirously happy with the Federal Govt for the last 11 years. Every controversial decision they have made I have been in complete and total agreement with.
Maybe it's time for me to let the other mob have a go. The ALP leader will not even admit to being "left wing"; he dares not. Perhaps that is Howard's greatest achievement.
I think whatever happens now, the country will be OK. On a whole the Australian electorate usually gets it right, even when I personally disagree with the decision.
Can you put the Nationals in there too?
