Don't live there but if you are looking for family things to do you can;t go past ,
www.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au
was down there the other week for a seminar, the council has a myriad of info on things to do and places to go.

I might be going up there in the second week of December, given the overwhelming response from members there I'll probably take a few AULRO tabs with me to put under windscreen wipers

Thanks for the replies, I know the town/touro things to do there cause my brother has lived there for about 5 years now, but thanks for the link JohnE. The problem is my brother isn't into 4WDing, and doesn't know the off road areas. I'd love to get out and explore the area, but having some local knowledge of the tracks and even better, someone for company would be all the better, more fun and as we all know much safer.

Hi John,
I will be going down around the 27.12 and heading back 3.1, camping at the Glenreagh showground, my inlaws are in the area. Will be planning on getting out for a drive during that time, hopefully with a few relatives that know the area but if not i will have a map in hand. If you will be there over that time let me know and i can contact you if we head out

No worries, am only a couple of hours up the road, but alas will not be around when you come up,
have a look at some maps, you can get into the back blocks, via nana glen( turnoff about 18kms north of coffs off the highway) ( where the gladiator lives) to Nymboida the old coaching station, then you can go overland to the old glen innes road, with the convict built tunnel, or get onto Buckets way and head up to Ebor the falls, Guy Fawkes national park( there is another road from Coffs to ebor as well.)
Failing that, (Ron if your watching) P38arover, i think said he was going up about the same time to do some work on his house. He is a really nice bloke. He may know of other places around there.
hope none of what i said is too confusing.
