I use them at work all the time, great for drilling holes for taps in S/S sinks, they seem to last quite well.

Oooh. I don't know about them.

I've been into performance bikes and racing for years.

Most American mods I have seen come over here are bloody aweful.

But, the drill works well. Makes nice neat holes, that's all it has to do.

They actually come in more than one size range. I've got a couple of them in my shed that between them cover a pretty broad range of hole sizes. Handy bit of gear.
    Cheers .........

There were about three different sets of different sizes, on the shelf.
This "one drill makes many sized holes" single unit covers every size I need. Mostly.

The rest were just sets of two or three in 1mm steps.

The sets cost a bit more, and I really don't need that many choices.

    Took the pensioners choice.

OK batteries are snafoo, still very usefull in the 4wd kit.
A mate has one,he ripped the battery appart, connected a 12v cable with aligator clips, clip it on the vehicle battery and you have a perfectly good drill out bush that you dont need to rely on batteries for.
I have a Ryobi that the batteries never cut the mustard,I too will do the same conversion one day.The drill is as brand new, drilled 50 holes if it did one!!!!,Bunnings wouldnt replace them as it was a week out of warranty.

A mate in the LROC (Sydney) club also adopted a similar approach. However, he went further and got a small 12V sealed battery, attached it to his waist using a leather tool belt. With suitable cabling, he could drill all day (very handy in repairing some of the Snowy Mtns huts).

    Ooh, even better.

The Landlord is away, I'll pinch the brand new orange sealed battery from his "Harley Ferguson" and give it a try.
