It's called a multi-drill, from Suntax.
Price, $29.50 at Australian Tool Distributors.
A panel drill, that makes holes from 6mm to 30mm, in 2mm steps. All in the one tool.
And it's pretty.Look.

Very handy for all the new holes needed in the new firewall for my S3.
I quite like the purple drill![]()
Could do with on eof those this weekend actually. Might have to go a find one as it could be a handy bit of kit.
I had a Snap-On one which I bloody lost, so bought a couple of these when I last needed one...no clue how long they're going to last but they're so cheap it almost doesn't matter. Fantastic for switches and the like, and way better than a hole saw until you get to the 52mm gauges.

Hey Shorty
Dont ditch it man!!!!
OK batteries are snafoo, still very usefull in the 4wd kit.
A mate has one,he ripped the battery appart, connected a 12v cable with aligator clips, clip it on the vehicle battery and you have a perfectly good drill out bush that you dont need to rely on batteries for.
I have a Ryobi that the batteries never cut the mustard,I too will do the same conversion one day.The drill is as brand new, drilled 50 holes if it did one!!!!,Bunnings wouldnt replace them as it was a week out of warranty.

I made the 1 millionth AULRO post
You see the guys off american chopper using those step drils all the time. I don't think I recall ever seeing them use a conventional drill bit.
