    Defender for a 1/2 day

I got to test drive a new Defender for a couple of hours this afternoon, the local dealer called me up and offered a testdrive, so I accepted. I only drove it around town, and a couple of km's of freeway, the engine pulls like a Clydesdale , the gearbox, Oh that gearbox. Beautiful. The A/c should be in a refrigerated truck, it's awesome. The seats are soooo comfy and that powerbuldge is something remenisant of the years of glam rock it just screams "Im huuuuuge under here"

That dash does grow on you and there are lots of places for airlocker switches, it even has a knob for aux lighting.

So why do I still prefer my old SIII?

    I don't know, I just do

If you have one you'd know

When I drive the old beast down the paddock or whatever I have a grin from ear to ear

It just didn't happen with the new one

(probably because of the lack of roof on the series)

YES that euphoric state all series owners love

the new one just doesn't do it for me

    That plus the 55g's

....And he calls me...like a kid in a candy store to gloat! The boss was standing right there when I answered? I'm like dude, dont ring me at work! So he says...muhahahaha I'm driving a new Defender and hangs up!

I'm like...what...what is this? BUSH WEEK? No...so I wait for the boss to vacate my presence...and then text message furiously. So when are we going out? I have the County today. He advises me...only until 5pm today.

    BUMMER!

Got me all excited for nothin'!
