    Wasn't a very good day

The other week we were in the chemist waiting for some prescriptions
    to be filled. Not mine.
I was standing there minding my own business admiring the girls at work.
Next thing a middle aged woman stood up and offered me her chair!
Bitch... I was mortified but declined politely.
When I got home I went straight to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.
So, I might look abit like old Gabby Hayes, but cripes.
My smart ass wife thought it was great fun.
    Cheers, I think.

Mate, every day older we get, so do they.

Only they haven't lived long enough to realize it yet.

Pat, I wasn't really annoyed by her good motives and intensions.
I was just shocked that she didn't see me the same as I do !

Here was me thinking that when my wife calls me an old fool, it was just a figure of speech. Even the Bird calls me olbod.
If I had the energy, I would think of some way to get even, somehow !

I can still climb onto a horse without standing on a stump but, an I dont
havta lean against a wall or sit down to put me pants on.

Shorty, Dennis Waterman said the other day that he had a thing for older
women, Amanda Redman ( sex pot ) quipped that there cant be too many of those left.

Nothin wrong with my memory tho.
    Cheers.

Don't feel bad, I'm only 34 & get heckled about the alarming amount of grey in my beard already and the eyebrows & nose hair I have had to start trimming...

    Who is/was Gabby Hayes?

Mate, Gabby Hayes was a cowboy actor after the war ( 50's 60's ).
He was in dozens of films, always as a sidekick. A real character.
That was back in the goodol days tho.
    Cheers.

My gran at 90 used to talk about the old people. Most of them were in their 60's.

olbod - you characterize yourself as older than Madonna in the age poll.... (does that make you a great granddad).... what do you expect if someone offers you a seat?

I'm a dinosaur in the way I think about my work ethic values (another story).

Mate, not at all, there was nothing to be offended about.
As I said, it was a long time ago.
Life moves on one day after another.
I try to enjoy them all.
Thing is, you have to draught proof yourself.

Come to think of it, the woman who stood up for me may have been
a bit past middle age, going on 25 ?
    Cheers.
