    stainless steel water tanks

Does anyone have an internal (in cabin) stainless steel water tank? I would like some information, prices and pictures of your set up on them please. It will be used for drinking water only. Simpson Desert and Victorian High Country trips coming up soon.

    Many thanks

I have a gal one (67l) behind the cargo barrier, with Flojet pump and tap at passenger side rear door. Used to be in rear footwell when the kids were small.

    Hi Stan,

I recently aquired a 44 litre food grade plastic tank that fits in the rear (L) quater panel. It's not quite what you're asking about, but worth considering. It frees up cabin space, keeps weight low, uses empty space, easily accessible tap etc...

    see the following link:

Otherwise, I've seen some 2nd hand S/S Water tanks (generic rectangular types) on ebay from time to time.

Thanks for your reply, I looked at your pics, can you tell me how much your set up was? Is yours permantly in place or can you take it out when not needed?

I brought the alley and was lucky enough to have access to a workshop, somewhere between $100 and $150 for the....still have half the sheet left over for other projects

    Pressure pump was around $130

Much easier when one had access to a full fab workshop, pan break press, migs, tigs, gillotines

I don't suppose you have any pics of your tank set up, I would like to see the different types before I decide?
