Does anyone have an internal (in cabin) stainless steel water tank? I would like some information, prices and pictures of your set up on them please. It will be used for drinking water only. Simpson Desert and Victorian High Country trips coming up soon.
Many thanks

I have an alley one in the rear footwell......72L with pressure pump and a garden type tap on the rear door
I'm on the road at the moment but have a look in my gallery I'm pretty sure I have some pics
It worked a treat for my simpson trip
I have a gal one (67l) behind the cargo barrier, with Flojet pump and tap at passenger side rear door. Used to be in rear footwell when the kids were small.

it sits right on top of Wheel Arch LHS of Cargo area. real beaut of Tank, can send Pics , I think it cost him about $500-$600 to get the Thing Welded up by a Boiler maker / or Sheet metal worker...one of the 2.
I've also got a Flexible 70L Water Tank which Sits in 2nd row on the Floor. I paid $300 or There abouts , well made.
I can send pics of that also . Let me know..
Hi Stan,
I recently aquired a 44 litre food grade plastic tank that fits in the rear (L) quater panel. It's not quite what you're asking about, but worth considering. It frees up cabin space, keeps weight low, uses empty space, easily accessible tap etc...
see the following link:
Otherwise, I've seen some 2nd hand S/S Water tanks (generic rectangular types) on ebay from time to time.
Disco Owner,
Thanks for your reply, yeah I would like to see some of your pics when you get the time.

Thanks for your reply, I looked at your pics, can you tell me how much your set up was? Is yours permantly in place or can you take it out when not needed?

I brought the alley and was lucky enough to have access to a workshop, somewhere between $100 and $150 for the....still have half the sheet left over for other projects
Pressure pump was around $130
Much easier when one had access to a full fab workshop, pan break press, migs, tigs, gillotines
Only two bolts hold the setup in.....it will be a few years before I need to relocate it

I don't suppose you have any pics of your tank set up, I would like to see the different types before I decide?
