so you guys actually had hail today.....?
a quick tip for hail storms.........take out your floor mats and boot mats etc and throw them over the flat parts of your car.......
they will prevent hail damage......and they will eventually dry out.......
and can then be refitted back in the vehicle........
pretty on the inside i mean
should see some of them in the uk.........they are shockers
and thas just the womenthe guys are fairly undesirable too

Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Driving home I noticed one dent in the bonnet, I thought oh well it will add to the scratches, then what do I see, another and another before you know it I was leaning over the passenger seat to get a better look the guy next to me in the other lane must of thought there was no driver in the car he had a strange look on his face then relief
I got home and what do I notice the bonnet wasn't the only thing affected the roof was pretty damaged to which isn't a bad thing I had a nice dent on the roof from a shopping centre and the wife that needed repairing
Got home and the nabour 2 dodgy tree had fallen these a big gum trees one fell on his next door nabour on the other side smashing the roof of the house and the other on his own if it had fallen 90 degree the other way I would have copt it further to that I had a look at the olden bombadoor and the roof and bonnet is damaged on that to shhhhhhhhhhhhs
insurance willl be happy with me this week two car claims![]()
how big were the hail stones....?
the biggest i saw was probably about size of i would say a Macadamian Nut...
...there was no time to react , just happended too quick ..i think pete might be able to confirm the size of hailstones...and i don't think anyone of us was game to run outside to pull the carpets out to place em on the bonnet even if we knew this nifty trick with carpets etc..for the fear of getting smacked in the head by a few...but i see your point about placing matts on the flat parts of the bonnet etc..
its a good idea but you would need a few mats to cover the roof
you can use anything you have in the car......even newspapers or any clothing....the boot carpet.....
in a fender.....you can even take out the front seat squabs.........
you may even have a tarp or anything else in the vehicle........
its only to stop the damage......and best to protect the roof first......
the bonnet can easily be replaced with a new one......the turret cant.....
