Had an agencey driver turn up a couple of months ago, had just quit real estate after 15 years to follow his dream being an interstate truckie.

All sounds a bit "sausagey" to me:D.......Man moments:(
Backing a trailer comes down to spatial ability, that's why most women suck and the "manly men" do it well, its genetics
Although its always an enjoyable time, when you get to kick people out their own car, because they can't reverse a trailer:)
Hmm, well seems your the only one thinking of "sausage" :p:Rolling:amongst all the manly men :angel:Quote:

once youve gotten the box trailer reversing sorted feel like having a go at an articulated trailer or a semi?
Try one of them big NT road trains on for size, we used to see the old R model Macks on the old Stuart when it was a goat trail and they had 4 or more trailers on if they thought they could get away with it they did, imagine backing one of them buggers up around a corner!
When I used to work in Darwin I saw a very good example of brilliance by a road train driver (3 full length trailers). Our yard did not allow drive in/drive out so the drivers used to unhitch, back a trailer in for us to load then swap it for an empty trailer till it was all done. The yard wenbt in from the gate towards the entrance of the shed than the drive ran out and down the side almost a lightning bolt layout. One driver backed the whole road train in around 2 corners and down so I could load it all in one go, only about 100metres all up but with 2 corners and 3 trailers. Took him about 10mins to do it. It was amazing to watch!
I can generally reverse trailers no prblems (on the Disco, never tried a truck) but was always taught to use the mirrors and "chase" the trailer. Have to say it works well for me
