I think the back seats are OK up to maybe mid-teenage years, but not for long distances with adults. My lad is 6'3"/85Kg/19 years old and he is a squeeze. Wouldn't like to take him much further than 20 or 30 Kms like that.

I am pondering shifting the rear sets back but at this stage have no idea how involved that would be. I really don't want to start drilling holes in a brand new car....

Looks a bit difficult - they really have made a dog's breakfast of the leading ends of the wheel-arch boxes to fit the new seats in. I'll post some pics for everybody's amusement - it's a MESS.

And can someone tell me what exactly we pay "dealer delivery" charges for??? I would have thought they would at least give the car a thorough clean. There is swarf all through the back from where they drilled the rivets out for ADR compliance.

BogJon was telling me about a Defender that was delivered some time ago with a loose nut (which could have fallen off some stray bolt - who knows) "spray painted" into the rear wheel arch. It must have dropped there before painting, and the bloke spraying it couldn't be arsed shifting it and just painted over it.

The bolt made it through the pre-delivery checks too, so I guess the new owner would have been pretty happy to get a free extra bolt on his pride and joy. Not.

I am starting a list of loose bolts, screws and nuts. Some of which I can't seem to tighten because they just spin around. ALso a couple of cross-threaded ones.

why are you starting a list mate seriously if you want build quailty dont buy a landrover................they are renowned for not having it espeically on defenders

i may have miss read your post...........but i cant help but interprut that you are just trying to find things wrong with the car......so you can have a winge at your dealer, you got your car really quick the time it took you to get yours from order we ordered way before you and in effect i think you may of got yours 5 weeks quick from order than what we got

and you got mudflaps out of it........stop winging

When you slap 50k on the table, you expect to get a good product I guess. Loose bolts in a car is not exactly a small issue :P Warranties are there to be used.

As for delivery. I guess talk to your dealer.
