The Army heavy lift boys put on an a flying display I will never forget.
6 Chinook's square dancing. Flying\dancing to the music and calls, in time.
The girl ones even had frilly petticoats.
What a display they put on that day.
Not to take it away from the "real" job at all.
Any close proximity flying is mind bending, I know.
Wouldn't want to "dip an oar" out of turn would you?

I wonder how many you'd lose to practice being good at doing that!
The only helicopter that made me really nervous to fly in.
I saw three go down in Vietnam, no survivers!
One was caused by the USAF Pilot dropping his coffee cup, which lodged behind the "Joy Stick". The aircraft tipped upside down and they cannot fly that way.
Another one flipped whislt carrying 6,000lbs of eplosives (I know that because I helped load it). The fireworks went on for hours...
10 of us got in one to head for a Fire Support Base, it got 5 feet off the ground, lost hydraulics and dopped to the ground, not very softly either
Cheers
