Bugger you have to love ARB!
Mals biggest problem he should have Franchised 5 - 10 Years ago.
Thank god I have ARB centres I reckon they will be around for the long haul....even if I have to change the odd o ring
Although I do have rear maxi axles
I have spoken once and emailed two times and in both cases got quality advice
He's crazy he should have taken the lowest price at least he would have some $$$$
Overall it sounds like he was a pretty good bloke and.........that's just business
I gather anyone with Maxi axles will definately take them out before selling any Landy now and getting a premium price for them cant say I blame them either
That could be true, but he had people with enginering skills and back grounds, machining welding and fabrication skills, accounting skills and computer skills.
All of whom are enthusiastic for land rovers having modified there own or dragged them half way round the world to keep them, they wanted to expand and develop a good product and keep it in production in australia for many more years.
I´m sure his reasons for not selling were very personal and at the end of the day it is his busniess so he makes his choice, pity he gave everyone the run round while deciding.
still its done now and time will tell weather his desision will keep maxi going.
For all we know he has sold the idea off shore sold of his assets then closed the business you don't create a company worth X amount then walk away from it empty handed its obvious that no one could come up with the cash locally and a trusty accountant has advised him to sell off assets and knowledge it would make him more money then what anyone locally can give him
no one is that crazy and its all speculation on our behalf
Is the rumour that the diff locks are to be made out of France true if that's the case that's how he made his money
In my case as long as the shafts are still being made thats all care about
Well i ordered my Crawler gears so touch wood they wont fail.....
