Yep, always the way when you're on to a good thing it shuts down.

I guess ARB will be rubbing it's hands together. Now I won't be selling my Rangie at all any time soon, but the cost of good second-hand maxi drive units will skyrocket .

I guess McNamara with it's **** poor PR attitude will be the only choice now Shame, they make great gear from what I understand.

    Mal said alot of things.

One of his largest buyers was told it was all going to be ok and production will keep going, but then last week said. Nope its over.

Then Frog island was buying the lot.... then they were not...

Yes maxi axles will still be avail... but not from Maxi... Barry will start his own business. Cost may go up..

So the options are Jac Mac with no after sales support and the range changing every 12 months.....
    Or ARB for lockers

Upgraded steering track rods will have to be genuine military.
Low range gears from the UK or US i guess....

Fred Smith was not happy about having to fit ARB products... But what is his choice?? NONE..... so he will become a ARB Guru..... He He Ha Ha....

its sad and yep it could have been prevented if someone had a want and need to finance the 1 mill or so on the business

sorry i dont feel sorry for them at all!
i along with my father in law and 2 others flew up to inspect the buisness and talk turkey!
we offered a fair price and submitted a bid, but in the end it came down to mal not WANTING to sell! why advertise the place if he was thinking about not selling from the get go??

we would have run it as is for 12months to get a feel for the ins and outs then i could have started manufacturing some of my DWE products, the buisness would have been expanded into importing all the goodies every one over here wants but cant/wont get....

so in the end yes we loose out, but not as much as they have!

Easy... find out what he had made out of his shop, contact them and get it made for you.... Start from Scratch..... Contact Barry and see if he will help you.

It would be nice to see DWE Lockers around...
