I followed the coffee roasting thread some time back and realised that I'm not even close to the coffee snob I once was. I've been stuck on my stainless steel stovetop esspresso makers and beans from Caffe Bianchi (best in Leichhardt) beans for the best part of the last twenty years.

I've strayed, on occasion to an electric espresso machine, but have never been satisfied, or found that they produced coffee more to my taste than my trusty stove top.

Well all that has changed. I picked up a Saeco Vienna for nix today. I'm in love.

It makes a very fine cup of coffee. I don't know what I'm going to do with the stovetop coffee makers.

I guess it's time to start roasting my own coffee.

    Cheers
    Simon

    Well done, Simon

We have a Gaggia Classic in the kitchen, Tevion in the caravan and a Bellman as well for roadside stops.

It's a stove top jobbie with steamer, does a great job

    Cheers
