not sure about the airbag set up, but make sure you tell them that it has a bullbar & winch so they can give you the correct spring rate.
Hey guys,
has anyone had any experience changing air suspension to springs. I want to put a 2" lift in our 2000 TD5 Disco. I have heard of possibly raising the ride height of the air bags but thats not what I want as we plan to do a few remote travels and if the air bags fail it would be a drama where as I can just add Poly Airs to a set of springs to give adjustable rides for towing etc. I like the self levelling of the air bags but we have put an ARB bar and winch on the front and the front does need a lift, so I thought I'd go the whole hog and do the springs at the back as well. Thanks.

Hey Tomtrish,
A mate of mine has a work shop in Bayswater in Melbourne that has done a P38a Air to spring conversion so it might be worth talking to him but Im not sure what is involved as I havnt had much to do with D2 air set ups.
If you put your locatin in your user CP then we would know where you are to help point you in the right direction as you could live in WA so Jamie wouldnt be of much use to you over there.
As far as i know the spring conversion (removing the SLS) is a relatively simple bolt on kit to seat the springs top and bottom. I've seen a few kits available on the net. Once converted you then have to take your Disco to a stealer and get them to use their testbook to tell the car you no longer have air suspension.
Why change,
the air bags work a treat.
buy a lift it for the bags from 4x4 design and engineering.
Some one here will tell you how to contact
Cheers
I have kept the air bags with a 2" lift it is handy and I have gone through more springs on the front than air bags on the rear, due to change the front again due to sag

HI,
Here is where you get the lift kit from for the airbags.
4x4Discovery.com.au - "think outside ..."
Comes with very good instructions.
Cheers
