Another award the D3 is really good value when you way up the competion.

Thing is, can't understand why no one is buying them after they are winning so many awards. The general public must be brain washed. After all 1200 playdo's a month to just under 300 D3'S A MONTH, AND THAT IS A GOOD month for Land Rover some times they don't even get close to the 300 figure.

Maybe people in Australia are becoming just like sheep.

OK maybe a play-do is not in the same class as a D3.

Pat303, not all tests are equal. ABC (Australia's Best Cars) is the national motoring organisations (RACV, NRMA etc). There's no real leverage on the organisations, and the Toyotas are included this year and every year - came third (Prado) and sixth (LC wagon). This is a matter of what is available, not what's new (unlike some of the other tests, where a "new" Toyota stands a better chance.)

It's a tick-a-box sort of test, so poor value-for-money in the form of old technology, limited features and high price gets marked down. I know some people think that the "Toyota" badge on the front makes it good value, but the ABC is one award that the LC200 can kiss goodbye. I doubt they'll overtake the Prado, let alone the second place-getter Mitsu Pajero.
