Geez! You guys just can't seem to make up your minds. I'm 41 and I've only had:

1974 Cortina - the one with the 4.1 straight six. Ugly, but really went well. Very rusty and not particularly useful off-road, so I got:

1969 Land-Rover, which is still my main car, currently getting ready for engine upgrade.

. . . and various old wrecks for parts.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

I learned to drive on my Ford defect--oops Prefect, but got rid of it, and got my first of two or three vw beetles, that thought they were Landrovers, so often went off road. Got a series 2A in 1971. After that beetle or VW type three wagons--I had 3 or 4 of them. Then a Datsun 1500. then VW combi van--I had 2 or three 1974-1976 models. Then a VW combi dual cab, purchased in 1990 and written of less than a week later. Then a VW pop top. then another VW Combi dual cab, plus a VW single Cab ute I bought for the motor--swaped with the dual cab that only had a 1600 motor. then a peugeot 504 deisel, folowed by three or four Peugeot 505. Then the first of 4 RRC, a 1979 2 door. Upgraded to a 1984 4 door, then a later 4 door, now my 1990 4 door. This list does not include my wife's cars.

    14. 1993 RRC Vogue Plus (Plymouth Blue) on LPG - great truck, ultra reliable with only a couple of Lucas Prince of Darkness issues. Sold with 230k kms on odo.

    26. 2002 D2 TD5 SE7 with leather etc - ex Minister's family car. She let it go due to **** Cooper tyres giving her grief. Presently for sale. 110k kms with Bruce Davis TD5 chip.
