    RRC update

Many thanks to Relay who spent all day working on my RRC. (while I got in the way) It now starts and runs first time, and the engine bay doesn't look like a bowl of spaghetti covered in bodgey connections and bad earths.

She has nearly de-lucased my car.

    List of issues so far

    Ignition module was buggered

Timing was out due to a stripped nut on the distributor. (fixed by Lokka)

Battery was flat from trying to start it

Enough bad earths to make Chernobyl look like a holiday destination

Lack of relay's and fuses in the wiring of the ignition and starter circuits

Someone nicked the choke backing plate

Lack of power to the fuel pump once the switch was turned to Gas. also bodgey wiring to the fuel pump going through none gromitted holes in the floor of the cabin.

My legs still hurt...I'm sunburnt! ( I got free ice-cream though...gotta be happy with that! )

The vehicle is going though. Dobbo GO PLUG THE BLOODY HORN IN AND SEE IF IT WORKS...Please

And curiously, coz I must ask. Does the rear window demister need to be working for a blue-slip? Coz his has a short somewhere ( didn't get time to locate that one ).

I'm upset we didn't take before and after pics. His wiring is neater than my County's. I think my priorities are a little askew!

No worries. You told me about it but I forgot to get it off you.

Relay yes the horn works, however it does sound like a cat farting. I think that one will have to be sorted one day.

What? I do all the work and you just stand there and look pretty?! I s'pose you've got the blonde curls going for ya...

No Dobbo, your neighbourhood scares me. I think I'd rather work at my place, then I can drink beer all day!
