As you may have noticed my better half and i am off to see the new grandson in perth over the break so i have been getting everything sorted including accommodation etc.
i usually use travelmate.com.au and booked my accommodation using their service, which commits to confirming within 24hrs.
waited 28 hours and sent off a thing saying whats the go?
waited till 49 hours had passed, received nothing no email no phone call so sent an email saying you haven't stuck to your 24hr confirmation so cancel any info you have and i am going to book it elsewhere as i need this sorted as the hotels are filling up etc etc..
off i go to wotif.com, find same hotel, book online thru them, receive my confirmation within 30 minutes, great service i thought.... excellent.... but they charge extra if you use amex.
an hour after that, travelmate.com.au send their booking confirmation thru, more than a day later than their within 24 hours claim... i look at the mail headers and it has been sent after i sent my second email..
got a phone call or two to make this morning, so much for the convenience of the internet.
bloody frustrating....

welp
a few mins on the phone, mostly on hold and a polite discussion and they have agreed they were at fault and will refund..
as usual will believe it when the money is back in my account, but they were very polite and seemed genuine... so 10 out of 10 in that department.

Accomodation in Perth is real tight!!!!
Even us "local" country folk cant just rock up and get a bed!!!!Apparently Perth has the highest occupancy rates for beds in the country.
We stayed in Perth for the first Countdown concert,didnt book nothing,lots and lots of calls when we got up there and finally went thru RAC to get a bed.

I tried lobbing at motels in Brissy during the truck show hahaha. Spent one night at the motel Disco then invaded rellies.
