Ive even been pinged once in big red when I had the side steps off as it "looked" too tall from the side when it measured up as on spec I was let off, still a hassle having to goto the RTA to get the ticket cleared tho.
I called them once asking how they measure the height and what their listed height was for a RRC, they said "that the onus was on the owner to prove the height is not >2" over standard"
I don't know how you are supposed to prove it, I always assumed they just had a list somewhere.
If this is the case I would like to find a miss-print for the standard RRC vehicle height

Unimogs are another very common one, though the front is often a problem as the diff is in the wrong spot, though some people engineer a drop swap. Mog's I have a contact for in Sydney who import these for $5-6K per set. A lot cheaper than $20K for the others!

Then there is fitting of the axles on top.

Seems like it's christmas after all !!!!!!

Is it not ileagal to do a body lift on an airbag equiped vehicle? Not knowing what year the Disco is I am presuming that being a D2 it would have airbags, or were they an option up to what year before becoming standard?

Guilty until proven innocent. gGtta love the lack of accountability just because.... they thought.

D2 ride height specs including tolerances are published in RAVE.

All D2's should have airbags AFAIK.

Sorry Mike, but I agree with Slunnie on this.

I have researched it heaps and also had some long discussions with my engineer.
Firstly 37's can be engineered and made legal, it is just a question on $$$$. In some of the other states it might be a bit easier to get anything over 33" engineered and passed but in Vic it is very hard but still possible and legal but not practical due to the cost.

Even a body lift is theoretically legal on a SRS equipped 4WD but it has to be crash tested t prove that the body lift is ok and so a "one off" build would not be possible, so I think it is safe to say that a body lift on a SRS 4WD would be illegal.
