Ford XR6 in Flood, Nice bow wave

Today with all the rain i was held up at a low area in Bayswater. 20 mins i waited and all the trafic went to the RH lane as the LH lanes were to deep..... BLAH.... sooks in there Honda's and Toyo's....

Bring on the XR6.......... notice the car stuck on the left in the drive way... the left lane was about 1m deep.... the center lane.... you guess....

just for future reference.......unless you have a snorkel fitted.....

you may just want to have a look where your air intake is........

as much fun as it was.......i would say you were just lucky.......i used to do things like that in my old mazda......
just to see how far i could get before it stalled......

I actually had fun driving home from the city this arvo, flooded roads and cars everywhere. 10 minutes after the rain stopped you would not have known there was so much flash flooding.

Meh, generally if you ford correctly its not an issue, as the air pocket takes good car of water ingress, its only when things go wrong its an issue

I forded the right way... pick the deeper spot and nail it.....

I never knew the car sounded like it does. The vid made the growl of it come out....

there is no air pocket on a falcon......the air intake is between the bonnet edge......and the bumper.......
which was just a couple of inches above the water level in that vid......

thats why i said.....he was lucky.......

and yes....it did sound good in the video.......
