Thread: coleman retro lantern

Hi Guys
Im looking at getting one tommorow.
Expensive,compared to some of the cheaper stuff on the market,but good stuff lasts if looked after.They run a sealed lead acid battery.
Anybody got one,tell me its a great product!!!!!!
Been there done that with gas lamps,actually gave my last 2 away.
My thoughts are I can get more use out of it besides camping.
You shouldnt have gas/petrol lamps indoors,with this beastie you can take it in the tent or in the house if the power is out.Plus mutch safer in the event of it been kicked over.
What about the cheaper battery stuff,anybody got any good reports????

Dunno Andy, I got a free lead acid lantern when I bought my Engel, but haven't tried it in anger yet...came with a remote too!
