    Too true, Ian.

I can remember the year I came back from Vietnam, an expert on tracked vehicles even though I was a grunt

Old man's Fiat Crawler was bogged in the back block, straddling a tree. I got on a motorbike and went down to where it was, to get it out (being bullet proof and all that).

Antway, I started the two cylinder petrol motor, then got the Diesel one going and backed it off the tree and now dried mud. Then I thought, I'll crush this bloody tree and took off at a 90 degree angle. The crawler hit the trunk and launched into the air. I suddenly had a flash back of what happens when an APC does that!.... Too late to through the clutch out, down she goes and I get flung over the steering wheel (yes it did have one), then flipped back onto the seat. However I missed the seat and collected the metal side that many years ago held arm rests..

When I got off that thing, the pain was unbelievable and I could barely walk. The next day, my left butt cheek was purple! It took a week before I could walk properly. The old man thought it was really funny and I have never been near a tracked vehicle since

Some times I wonder why I'm stilll around after some of the stupid things I did when I was 20 to 25...

Mind you, at 58, my bones are clearly reminding me...

    Cheers
