I'll ask my mum, she has a magical ability to find cheap flights. Right now she is in Cairns for no other reason than "the flight was cheap". WTF

yeah, webjet is good, or flightcentre.com.au - I just used them to book my flight down to sydney

Australian Travel Agent : Best Flights - discount travel - Travel Agent Australia is another good one.

Best they have to offer is a Jetstar flight leaving at 6:20am for $289ea

Thanks all. I had seen those prices, and looks like we'll have to go with them
I was sure we could get cheaper, but I guess this time of year at short notice this is what can happen.
