Patrol 4.2 TD. I had sat in and test driven a few low km second handers.
Also considered a jeep wrangler 4dr. Considered waiting to see if they were going to bring out the ute version of that.
Gave in and bought what I really wanted!
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon!! I would seriously consider giving up the disco for a four door Rubicon. Big diffs, diff lock, unlocking swaybars...tough, capable out of the box vehicle.
Only wish it came in diesel.... :(

2005 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG 4WD, the closes thing to a Landy
Sad to say it but nothing id go ride around in my mates jappers but id never own one;)
Early 70's Dodge Power Wagon with the 440 cubic inch V8 and the you beaut permanent 4WD system with viscous limited slip transfer.
A Hummer .... or failing that, a horse and cart;)
I'd probably get a Landcruiser TD or a Patrol 4.2TD.
For the same sort of money, I would have to go back to an XJ Jeep and with the change I would mod it in the way where it would be nearly as capable as a LR :(
If it was for practical purposes I would have to either get another 80 series TD or a GU pootrol 4.2 TD.
If it was for fun and pose purposes (not really into that sort of thing though) I would go for an Inter scout middy wagon with big rubber and big motor.
Or an Acco Army truck, plenty of room for the kids in that one.
