A colleague of mine bought a Nikki for his daughter. It proved to be the most unreliable car I have ever had even the slightest association with. Probably averaged around one serious breakdown per week from new until he got rid of it. The reason for its lack of success was not the economic climate, but its total unreliability.
Some fairly basic cars have sold reasonably in recent years - Suzuki Sierra probably being the prime example. But the car discussed is probably much more basic than that.
