I'd forgotten about your PM, yeah its been a strange week! Defender still hasn't had a chance to dry out inside since last Friday

Bugger mate I appreciate very well, just have to read in the BOM page to be informed.

I do (a bit). I lived in Carnarvon in 1970-71 then on Norfolk Island 1990-93 so I saw a few (not many) cyclones.

However, I've only been at sea during once during a cyclone. 'Twas interesting. I was a passenger (with my family) aboard a Russian cruise ship that had picked us up in Norfolk Island.

All them were pretty mild in comparison to Tracey and others.

Sorry mate ,but did not know you where there till reading this thread and your location sounded familiar, was camping at Miara, visiting my sister at Littabella, they run a aquaculture farm out there, borrowed some sand pegs (three foot long peices of reo rod with bend on top! )so i could keep my tarps from going to WA,thankfully the peninsula sheltered us from the more severe winds

    God bless up there!

We're still in dire straits down in Sunraysia.Grapes and citrus struggling to survive o 30% allocation. Now Darling is running-Lake victoeia is full for SA requirements it seems the only poor folk losing their livelihoods is in the Sunraysia and to top it off the bloody freight network RAIL that is has just grinded to a halt.We might have won the toxic waste fight but one feels we are not NO1 in spring st.There will be hell to pay over the rail sruff up EXTROARDINARE.Blaming kennet is bull when it was Tom Roper that caused the problem years back.May it rain like hell in all the catchments!!!
    Happy New Year!
