    You would'nt read about it

Well Was I left with egg on my face today, took the SIII out to appin for a play this arvo, with the rangies tagging along just in case the old girl threw a fit first time 4-b-in in years.....SIII went like a dream, my rangie on the other hand decided I was paying to much attention to another female and decided to teach me a lesson. Nice simple track nothing too hard and BANG CLANK CLANK CLANK OH dear somethings not right, get out have a look passanger side trailing arm has snaped at the chassis end no big nut no thread axle at a funny angle to the rest of the car, tonys not going anywhere......Oh well make a cup of tea send boy home for another arm, 2 cups later all fixed and home again moral of story... **** happens at the most unexpected moments

Convenient it was close to home. It wouldn't be a day out for you if you didn't end up breaking something

I can tell you how it happened, those poly bushes are too hard so the stress point was moved down the arm to where it snapped, get rid of both of them and i doubt it will happen again.

Good thing it didn't do THAT on the way into Narellan!!

Good to have a store of bits, isn't it!

RR went well, good on fuel and I fixed the oil leak!

Thanks again for your efforts RE RWC etc, I'll have some pics of the transformation shortly

    Howdy T,

A combination of R/C gasket and blocked breathers. As you say, sometimes sitting around for a while dosen't help, breather was encrusted and I could hardly blow through it! took it off at Nowa Nowa and removed the wire gauze and cleaned it out, re fitted and hasn't used a drop since!

Keep you posted on the rejuvenation process...

I suppose you realise that with one of these

    instead of one of these

you could have had that first cup of tea a lot sooner and probably would have had time for 3 cups.
