LC 200 and UGLY toyo range.

Passed a 200lc this morning and came to the conclusion that now the toyo range is complete, the ugliness is now uniform across the 4wd/awd range from the Rav4 to Klueger to Playdo to 200 series - kinda like shiny warthogs with the bulges in the body work.

IMHO the 200 series is a step backwards for toyo in the styling department.

I know a die hard toyo / 100 series guy who hates the new shape so much he is seriously considering a sport as his next truck.

The Japs have been trying to perfect the "Hit with an ugly stick" for years.

This time I think they got it right, Butt Ugly.

Or you can get a better engine (3.6 TDV8 Rover engine) in a vehicle that looks great (RR Sport or Vogue).

I thought you were going to write 'he is seriously considering a D3". (Must admit I'm still not sure that the D3 styling is much better...)

I wonder what will happen when LR goes to those whinging moaning Idia/paki/desh mob?

Will they still but Jaguar motors in Land Rover or go for the horrid crud "made in India".

That would sure chew the ass out of the LR market

Agree .. I think a lot of Toyo owners buy them for their reliability, not really too fussed about styling. Toyos are practical vehicles, they don't stir the hart like a landy does.

Yes, I think the lc 200 must be the ugliest vehicle around just about. But then I'm someone who thinks the Defender is good looking.
