Will they still but Jaguar motors in Land Rover or go for the horrid crud "made in India".

That would sure chew the ass out of the LR market
I think they will still keep using the same engines.

At least the Koreans name them appropriately!

    Hyundi Terror Can (Teracan)

    What were they thinking?

LC200, in my opinion is soft, like the new Hilux and I think will not be anywhere near what it's predeccors were.

The Terracan is a very good 4wd - its an excellent price, has a 5 year warranty with unlimited kms (unprecedented), a brilliant common rail diesel engine, automatic and two speed transfer case, plus all the usual toys.

If Land Rover offered a 5 year unlimited km warranty, wouldn't we all feel more comfortable about buying a new one?

That would be economic suicide for Land Rover

    No, not like a D3.

The LC200 has moved Toyota into the world of electronics, where the D2 was in 1999. But I have found the Hilux to be no where as solid as the older model's (and IMO they are still uncomfortable to sit in), the Hilux is now definitely breakable. The LC200 panels and general build of nice indicators sticking out the sides etc is going to make it a lot easier to damage in the bush. The IFS was considered a weakening of the LC100, I wonder how good it is on the LC200.

Electonics, Independant suspension, common rail EFI diesels, less clearance, more exposed panel................yep, nothing like a D3

D3 has never been touted as the all conquering outback vehicle that the LC's are, D3 is in a different market segment alltogether but saying that, 4wd of the year 3 years running go a long way to dispelling that urban myth about toyo's. Sure their engineering is excellent but no so indestructable as they led us to believe.
