Following our meeting with Club in Mackay

We had previously posted photos of our meeting with the friendly group at Mackay Club. This is an update :

The club also has some pretty adventurous people : one of their veteran member is presently driving a Landy from Vladivostok all the way to Switzerland! We met their daughter Eridani in the Kimberley - driving a red 110 of course - and later on their son Daniel in Bundaberg - aka Woven rovings -
Small world !! Daniel ended up giving us a very interesting tour of his work place, where they buid aircarfats...

Another couple of the club, Bob and Ann decided, after our visit, to take their vehicle for a spin around the world in a couple of years... returning on the road some 30 years after their first big spin. Although they do not drive a Landy, they are very nice fun people if you have a chance to meet them. If you ask them, they will show you where you can camp on the beach front close to where they live... or even might allow you to camp in their backyard, who knows?? At the moment, they are researching pop up roof options, so if any of you have suggestions to make, they can be reached at
