    Evel Kenevel

Anybody watch Richard Hammos doco last nite???
he was one of my childhood heros.
What a broken grumpy arrogant old man he ended up being.
Sad as it really as the show changed my thoughts of him, almost wish I didnt watch it!!!

I watched it Andy. Never was much of a fan of Evel's - that show only confirmed it.

But it was a good show nevertheless. Hammond's humour mad up for the other shortcomings. Couldn't believe how much fanfare a small mining town in the middle of nowhere puts on every year for this.

Anyone recognize what was the black 4WD that Evel and his minder were in during a couple of the scenes - something along the lines of a Hummer ute. Only thing I've ever seen anything like that was I think a Lamborghini 4WD that came out quite a few years back.
    Cheers .........

Hammond was good, but I think old Legends don't need their unsavoury past bought up, then again Evil's demeanor wasn't the best, seems he wasnt far off death at the time the doco was shot, maybe that's why he was off, sad to see him like that, Regards Frank.

Watched the show. Was good to see the old jumps and learn a bit of the history behind the man. unfortunatley the fame got to him.
I think it is hard for anyone to meet their childhood hero, as what is behind the mask is a totaly different person than what one would expect.
I forgot about the toys, I think mine might still be in a box, in the basement of my brothers place. Remeber he was an action figure - boys don't play with dolls.
    RIP Evel
