    Is this a good/bad price for a used 130

I haveseen a 130 for sale with 56k on the clock, and in mint condition, the price is 42k its a 2003 model, my question is this alittle too much?

A friend of mine who works in the trade says this should be selling for no more than 31k.

If this is the case would they offer a big discount? or have they paid over the odds for it in the first place???

Do a search on carpoint and carsales for 130 Deefers and you will seee that (like most Defenders of late) they are holding thei value prety well. new 130 on road is 56K plus so 43 is still a fair bit cheaper.

    I'm after a 300Tdi and they are in the 15Kplus price range for a 1996 model !!!!

What price range are you playing in ?

To be honest i was looking in the 20s, early 30s,. just depends on how good it is. I take it as this is a stupid price to ask 41k for a 2003, they would be a big discount???. How can they justify this price when the trade price should be no more than 31? Other than a snorkle and bull bar its standard.

It really pi**es me off when a dealer says they will only give a small discount, yet when you say the Glass guide even says its only worth 31k Max, they still have a moan about it. dont make sence to me..

Just don't beleive Red Book as you won't find a Defender for that little. 43 sounds a lot for a near stock vehicle.

Yep, Redbook's prices are way off, but 42k is a joke. If it's in mint condition I reckon mid 30's at the absolute most.

    Cheers
