So hows everyone going with the latest load of rain ??
I've about had enough for a while, 150mm overnight has made it a bit wet around here, on to of the 70mm in the few days before.
Still I think a fair bit of it is getting into the dams, local Woronora river came up 2.4m around midnight.

Yep, sure has been wet.
I just sloshed my way up the backyard to check out our latest addition, which seems to have literally popped up overnight - a band of mushrooms stretching 3/4 of the way across the backyard, up to around 4m wide. They are most likely growing off the roots of the tree we took out a few years ago.
The tank, as usually happens when we get rain, is full.

We are doing ok. It's damp but not as much as everywhere else is getting. My parents place was surrounded by water during the week and a lot of other houses there were flooded.

i wish we would get some here in Vic :(
maybe the amount you guys are getting overnight ;)

Yep hasn't stopped for 3 days here, there's a nice little river running beside and under our house:o
The Woronora River is bursting, going down Heathcote rd there are waterfalls all the way along the road.

90mm for January, and another 20mm since then - wettest start to the year since I've been here, but still has not filled the dams or made up the soil moisture after over seven years of drought.

Last Thursday's report had 61% in the Sydney System and as usual Sydney stole 117% of the inflows to the Shoalhaven system to use as 45% of last weeks Sydney use.
This pumping was supposed to stop when the Sydney Catchment System reached 60% and restrictions were lifted. But now they are talking about making the restrictions permanent, which leaves the Shoalhaven without it's promised return of environmental flows and it becomes a tidal estuary with brine as far back as Burrier instead of the former fresh water. More broken promises and another dying river.
Yes all this was before the days of rain over the weekend and yesterday.

For January we had 575 mm !
Still raining on and off.
Had enough now, eh.

Took a trailer load of old furniture to the tip on Sunday.
Had to unload at the bottom of a hundred metre hill, all messy.
CDL and low range, no problem climbing out. He'll have to run the Dozer
over me wheel tracks tho.
Like it to stop raining now.

What's Rain ?
Perth - Weather's bloody awful here, apparently.
No recorded rain since 19th December; but there are light gray / white things in the sky today instead of the normal blinding blue.
BoM says 40% chance of raining, is that 100% chance of not raining ?
Cheers,
Grant
